Brian Clark earns 2007-08 CHL Broadcaster of the Year

Phoenix, Ariz.Rocky Mountain Rage radio broadcaster Brian Clark was named 2008 Central Hockey League Broadcaster of the Year during the annual CHL Awards Banquet Saturday night at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

"It's definitely a nice honor and certainly something that I didn't expect.  It speaks to our accomplishments as an entire organization this past season,” said Clark. “From all the hard work our staff put into hosting the 2008 CHL All-Star Game to the great turn-around season our team had on the ice.  The league's spotlight was really on the Rage last season, and I was fortunate enough to reap the benefits." 

Rage front office staff and Colorado native Erin Pahl was also nominated as CHL Communications Executive of the Year. Jennifer Holt (Mobile, Ala.) was nominated as CHL Corporate Sales Executive of the Year.

Prior to the awards banquet, Rocky Mountain’s Patrick Stevens had been named the 2008 CHL Equipment Manager of the Year. Tracy Egeland was also recognized as Head Coach of the Year runner-up.

Clark joined Rage staff in 2006 prior to the inaugural season handling broadcast and media relations duties for the team. He previously served in the same capacity for the Fresno Falcons of the ECHL for seven seasons. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo. He and his fiancée Elizabeth reside in Denver.
